On Friday, 1 September 2023 at 19:00, Église presents the book "Bangkok Sketches" by Mauro D'Agati, published by 89books, as part of Tableau vivant, a cycle of meetings dedicated to the projects of young photographers.
"Bangkok Sketches" is a photographic project born in 2017, during Mauro D'Agati's long stay in the Thai capital and is a tribute to the city of Bangkok, presented with black and white snapshots that tell the ordinary life of the city, focusing above all on the architectural and structural aspect rather than on the people.
During the presentation, around a large table on which images will be placed, the author will dialogue with the curator Kateryna Filyuk and with the audience, about the conception and development of the photographic project and, therefore, of the book published by the publishing 89books. The intent of this experience is to create a convivial atmosphere in which we can discuss the themes developed by the author and answer the questions of the audience.
At the same time a site-specific open air installation of the same project will be viewable at the shop windows of ex-Niceta store at via Roma 11
