Jason Bentsman is a writer of literature and fine art photographer. He's been taking photos for many years now, both analog and digital, and started sharing them with the world fairly recently. Some have appeared in literary and art magazines and a few galleries to date. In his photos generally he tries to capture that which cannot be captured, which is to say, the transcendent. The selections in this debut collection are some of his more probing, searching, and multifaceted—reaching for the depths. The first half are black and white, and second half color. All deal with form, light, shadow, and time to unearth certain deeper themes and aspects of our form-bound existence. They can at once be seen as symbolic, and immediate.
